John Schwab, born on September 15, 1972, in Pensacola, Florida, is an American actor, producer, and musician based in London. A graduate of Durham University with a degree in English Literature, he has built a diverse career across film, television, voice acting, and music. Schwab is recognized for his roles in films like The Program (2015), where he portrayed lawyer Travis Tygart, and The Catcher Was a Spy (2018) as baseball player Lefty Grove. His television appearances include series such as Doctor Who, The Queen’s Gambit, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, and The Diplomat. As a voice actor, he has contributed to video games like The Witcher series, voicing the character Dandelion, and Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 as Tony Stark/Iron Man.

Beyond his screen work, Schwab is an accomplished musician. He became the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the Ohio-based country-rock band McGuffey Lane after joining in the late 1970s. He also performs with the John Schwab Band and co-founded the independent record label Lick Records. In his personal life, Schwab met his wife, Tamsin, in Seoul after graduation, and they married in 1994. The couple resides in the United Kingdom with their two children.
